Beyond The Clouds

Sold

This was a painting I donated for a February auction at the Mary Lou Zeek Gallery in Salem, Oregon. The proceeds went to help the non profit, Friends of Pimpollo. Happily, it went for the maximum bid of $300. I usually work on canvas so it was a treat to try out the "feel" of a different surface and maybe learn something new. Because of the size, cost and ease, I'm thinking I may come back to this medium in the future. Happy day....this is my first blog!

  1. A panel is typically a wood support. As wood is rigid, it doesn't have the "give" that a canvas support has. Also, the medium, (in my case oils) is accepted differently and in many cases creates a unique look. I hope that answers your question!-J
